💩 Getting the runs on an overnight train... without a toilet
Perpetually trying to get outdoors. When indoors, I'm a nerd at heart - reading manga, watching movies and constantly re-optimising my one-bag for travel.

Calvin
Our why
It was 2023, we were working full-time jobs - making an honest living, progressing and getting by. We went out on weekends and had fun with friends, but weekdays felt void of joy... and work felt kind of pointless. We realised we were just exisiting.
We were starting to wake dreading work, and packing in as much as we could into our annual leave. We were looking for an escape. We wanted freedom. We wanted to live! So, we started planning and seeing if it was possible to do just that, to live life and see the world - to full-time travel!
But the weight of career progression! The high cost of housing! We sat back on our ergonomic desk-chairs... Maybe we shouldn't. It wasn't sensible. We're on a career track. Then we realised...we’re never gonna be this young again. This able to have the adventure of our dreams. And that work will always be there. We got at least another 30 years to work after we travel. What's a year gonna do?
So we took the leap - an adult gap year! There are easy solutions to all the "why nots"! That's our why!

From multicultural origins
Raised in multicultural households, Kimmi grew up in Hong Kong while Calvin grew up in Australia.

2019
We swiped right
Having both moved to Sydney (Kimmi to study and Calvin for work) we were single and ready to mingle. In 2019, our worlds collided.

2020-23
We travelled while working
When Kimmi started work, we took trips as often as we could, and even worked remotely for a year around Asia. But this creeping sensation to travel more was growing.
FIRST TRIP ✈️
2024-2025
Now, one big adventure
So we quit our jobs and in February 2024, we took a one way flight to France and started our adventure of running away from our responsibilities exploring the world!
